CHURCH FLOWERS
The Old Parish Church of Peebles has a long tradition of beautifying the peaceful interior with flowers. There are nine ladies who are the Flower Arrangers and they take it in turn to make these beautiful displays for the Sunday service.

SOME OF THE DISPLAYS AT EARLIER SERVICES
For Harvest Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, the team works together to do special seasonal arrangements.
From time to time, there are requests for wedding arrangements and for a fee, these can be organised.
From October to April, after the morning service, the arrangement is dismantled and the flowers divided into three/four bunches to be given to those in the congregation who are housebound, ill at home or in hospital, or recently bereaved. For this “task”, there is a list of Flower Distributors and again, anyone may volunteer.
The flowers are generously donated by members of the congregation who can choose a Sunday, perhaps to commemorate a special date in their lives.
A Flower Calendar can be found in the vestibule of the church where anyone may add his/her name as a donor, even if there is already a name against a specific date; the cost of the flowers for that Sunday is divided between/among donors.
