The Old Parish Forum

During the winter months since 2002/3 the Old Parish Church has run a series of meetings exploring areas of modern life.The meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month, except December and while they are sponsored by the Old Parish Church, they do attract a wide audience from the Community as a whole and not necessarily those with church connections. We do like to encourage discussion with audience participation and in that regard some degree of controversy is welcome!

The Old Parish Forum Year 2007/2008

Old Parish Forum will resumed at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 20 November with the topic "Challenging Issues in Medical Ethics: from Regenerative Medicine to Euthanasia", the speaker will be Professor Kenneth Boyd.

The meetings will continue on a regular basis throughout the winter.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation and refreshments will be served.

Meeting Time

All the meetings are held in the Old Parish Church starting at 7.30 pm and the main presentation usually lasts for up to 45 minutes, followed by questions and discussion for a further 20/30 minutes, finishing by 9.00 pm with coffee or tea.
