Malcolm M Macdougall, known as Calum, has been minister of The Old Parish Church Of Peebles since 2001. Prior to that he was minister of St James' Parish Church in Portobello from 1981, and a probationer assistant at Greenbank Church Edinburgh. Married to Janet, a primary school teacher, Calum was born and brought up in Greenock and spent his early working life in the costing department of a rope and canvas manufacturer and in banking before training for the ministry at New College, Edinburgh. He has a Secondary Teaching Qualification in Religion and Moral Education and a the degree of Master of Theology.

Janet and Calum have two children, Alastair and Fiona.
